Procedure:

1. Introduction (5 minutes):

• Teacher will write the names of the units of measurement of length on the board (km, m, cm, mm) and ask students if they know what they mean.
• Teacher will define each unit of measurement and explain that they are used to measure length.
• Teacher will ask students if they have ever measured something before, and if they used any of these units of measurement.

2. Main Activity (20 minutes):

• Teacher will demonstrate how to convert one unit of measurement to another, using a ruler and measuring tape.
• Teacher will ask students to work in pairs or small groups to measure objects in the classroom using the ruler and measuring tape.
• Students will record their measurements in both centimeters and millimeters.
• Students will be asked to convert their measurements to meters and kilometers.
• Teacher will discuss the different contexts in which each unit of measurement is used (for example, kilometers for long distances, centimeters for small objects).

3. Practice (5 minutes):

• Teacher will provide worksheets for students to practice converting units of measurement.

4. Homework (5 minutes):

• Students will be assigned to measure objects at home using a ruler and measuring tape.
• They will write down their measurements in both centimeters and millimeters, and convert them to meters and kilometers.
